"Lonely Ghost" by Ricardo Perez Jr
The moon sets in the background of the sky. I'm a heartbeat away from tears although I'd never show. So I lay that ghost in the sky. The dark shows my pain of a lone shadow.
My skeleton shows a dead stare. Would you ever guess I was eying you? My reach was never far. Would you reach back, or would I stay a float a lonely ghost?
This is an interesting piece, not just in view, but how it came to develop its meaning. I call it "Lonely Ghost," and its funny how creation comes from a not wasting of bits and pieces.
I had just bought a little calligraphy kit from my nephews school book order (there's always something like that in them I get), and had started messing with abstract designs for fun.
After about a half hour of messing around with inking little papers, this one caught my attention. It had a certain feel to it, and not as just an artist, but a poets view too, I immediately put it aside.
After staring and thinking it gave me a descriptive feeling I know well. I seek a connection weather fan or friend, anything to get passed the invisibility of my meaning.
As a result I came up with "Lonely Ghost," a mixed visual, metaphorical, written piece. A scan and poem later, my creative rush had made a strong defined.
